Adult Ministries
Couples Ministry
The Couples Ministry equips Christian couples with the spiritual knowledge and practical skills needed to strengthen and enrich their marriage and family. This is accomplished by providing a number of Christ-Centered, Bible-Based teachings, activities and outings.
Culinary Ministry
This is a very active ministry meeting the nutritional needs which often are weekly, such as Noon Bible Study. They also serve during special needs such as funerals, weddings, and various meetings. This ministry stays busy at a 7 day-a-week church.
Deacon Ministry
The deacons assist the pastor in ministering to the entire congregation by visiting the sick in homes and hospitals. They also assist in the distribution of benevolence to members and to the community.
Level Ground Ministry
This is a Faith-Based counseling program which is designed to encourage while meeting various needs in a postive and non-judgemental environment. Confidentiality and trust is maintained in the counseling areas of Divorce Recovery; Financial Management; Grief Recovery; Marriage and Family; and Substance Abuse.
Mission Ministry
This ministry has not only impacted the local community but also the world. They have traveled to share the Gospel as well as needed resourses to communites and countries in need.
The M.O.B. (Men Of Bates)
The Men of Bates provide opportunities for the brothers to fellowship and encourage one another in the work and Word of the Lord. Using outreach progams such as the R.E.A.C.H. Ministry and Soul Food Bible Study, the M.O.B. empower and support one another in a holistic way.
Prayer Ministry
This ministry provides on-going Intercessory Prayer for the Pastor, church, community, members, visitors and many others. This ministry prepares the Monthly Prayer Calendar for the church and meets on Saturdays at 7:00 am for Intercessory Prayer.
Prison Ministry
This ministry makes monthly visits to those who are incarcerated in local prisons and halfway houses. Many lives have been blessed and souls have been saved as a result of sharing the Word through sermons and Bible Study.
R.U.S.H. Ministry
The R.US.H. Ministry (Recovering Until Solutions Happen) goal is to provide a God-Centered and Bible focused ministry that will help align the principles of recovery with the Word of God for those who are struggling with various recovery issues. All meetings are held in an open forum discussion format and are confidential.
Willing Workers
This ministry reaches out to our Seniors and Seasoned Saints. We honor them by providing monthly fellowship and dinner as well as an annual celebration dedicated especially to them each November.
Women’s Ministry
The women of Bates Memorial connect with each other through the “Hearts Reaching Hearts” and the “Sister To Sister” programs. These and other programs are designed to promote the support of the woman’s spiritual nature and her emotional and physical needs.
